South Florida: 

The meteorologists here at NewsChannel 5 have issued a STORM TEAM 5 WEATHER ALERT DAY for today and tomorrow, due to the potential impact of today's conditions on your daily routine.  Please monitor the weather conditions throughout the day.

Showers and thunderstorms will develop and move across South Florida from southwest to northeast through the afternoon and early evening.  Some rainfall will be very heavy and a few storms could be strong.  High temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s with plenty of clouds around and light winds out of the southeast.

Evening thunderstorms will dissipate fairly quickly, and then there is just a chance for some isolated overnight rainfall.  Lows will be in the 60s inland and along the Treasure Coast, and in the very low 70s along the Palm Beach County coast.   Some patchy fog is possible.

When it comes to Sunfest, based on this weather pattern much of the rainfall has tapered off quickly after sunset each night so far this week... so (although there are no guarantees) chances for rain will be lower as some of the main acts take the stage over the next three to four nights.

Thursday and Friday will be mostly cloudy with scattered to numerous showers and a few strong thunderstorms possible.  Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.  Some very heavy rainfall is possible.

Saturday, partly sunny with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms possible.  Highs in the mid 80s.

Sunday and Monday, partly sunny with highs in the mid 80s.  Isolated rainfall is possible.
